Siegfried is a physicist specializing in ion physics and medical technologies, currently serving as an Assistant Professor for Image-Guided Radiotherapy at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He earned his PhD in Ion Physics from the University of Innsbruck, where his doctoral research focused on the doping of multiply charged helium nanodroplets. He previously obtained a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Medical Technologies from the universities of Tübingen, Linköping and Innsbruck.

Bio:
Nina is a medical physicist specialized in radiation therapy, with additional experience in nuclear medicine and particle therapy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Technical Physics in Linz before she moved to Innsbruck for her master’s and PhD studies in chemical physics. Her doctoral work focused on the photochemistry of sea-salt aerosols and their light-driven transformations in the atmosphere. In the specialized doctoral programme Atoms, Light, and Molecules, she completed research stays at ETH Zürich, Yale University and UC San Diego.

I am a medical student at the Medical University of Innsbruck with a technical background from my Bachelor’s degree in Physics. Currently, I work as a research student assistant focusing on Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT). My primary role involves developing new quality assurance protocols, specifically translating the technical requirements of ESTRO guidelines into practical application for our systems.
